Jumparoo Time!

Matthew has finally mastered his jumparoo! Tonight he jumped for about an hour and a half straight!
His feet just go a mile a minute in this thing and are so cute!

First REAL Food!

We started Matthew off this weekend trying some real baby food in addition to his rice cereal. We started with sweet potatoes which weren't a great hit, but let's hope that we will get used to them.

Matthew's First St. Patty's Day

Matthew got all dressed up for his first St. Patty's day (he is 1/8 Irish!).

Here is Matthew with mommy on St. Patty's day (also the day before he got sick - and got everyone in the house sick too!)

Here are some of Matthew - presickness (you can see his little red cheeks in the last one!)

Matthew and Daddy!

Matthew is definitely daddy's little boy!

Daddy even had Matthew "posing" with his first baseball glove and bat to get him ready for the baseball season!

Matthew Starts Cereal!

So, after our 4-month doctors appointment, Matthew got the green light to start solids! The plan is to have rice cereal twice a day for a few weeks then move into level one foods.

Here is Matthew taking his first bite of cereal

We definitely can't say that he loved it
But what he really loved was trying to eat his new rubber bib!

A Night with Friends

A few weekends back we had some friends over =)

Matthew had a great time playing with his friends!

Here are some of the mom's with our little ones (the Nutley wives)
And here is the matching dad's photograph

4 Month Doctors Appointment!

So yesterday we had our 4-month doctors appointment. Matthew is doing great! He is the 25th to 50th percentiles for his length (24.5 inches), weight (14lbs 3 oz) and head circumference. The doctor is pleased with his development and eating. We are going to start some cereal in the upcoming days which is going to be so exciting for him! Also, the doctor said that we are merely weeks away from Matthew getting his two bottom teeth! His gums are swollen and his teeth are all lined up and right below the gum line, so I am getting ready for some cranky nights!

Matthew was a champ for his 3 shots and one set of drops. He didn't mind the first shot, by the second one he knew what was coming and forget about it with the third one, he turned a fabulous shade of bight red and screaming, but he was very quick to calm down. He ended up sleeping away the afternoon and evening, which we were grateful for!
